Privacy Policy
The short version
The vCardSwap apps collect no data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no background tracking. Everything you type into your card stays on your device unless you choose to show your QR code to someone.
The apps: what we collect
Nothing. vCardSwap and vCardSwap Pro do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information:
- No registration. There is no account to create and no sign-in.
- Your data stays on your device. The contact details you enter (name, company, email, phone, notes) are stored only in the app on your phone. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- Sharing is entirely in your control. Your information leaves your device only when you deliberately show your QR code and another person scans it with their camera. That transfer happens directly between the two phones — nothing passes through our servers.
- No tracking. The apps contain no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no background data collection.
- No third parties. We share no data with third parties, because we hold no data to share.
This website: analytics and cookies
Unlike the apps, the vcardswap.com website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from). Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard usage data such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site; we do not use it to identify you. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
Contact form
If you write to us through the support form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit, delivered to us by our email provider (Mailgun). We use this information only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list or share it with anyone else.
Children
The apps and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them — the apps collect no information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the apps or this site handle data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
